Hi all . I am just getting into hammocks and was looking for a place to go around the end of February to get out of the cold NE winter . My daughter lives in Raleigh . What could one expect for weather then . Is there any fishing . I am a avid Tenkara fisherman . Is there creek trout fishing open then ? Thank You

The weather can be so unpredictable during that time frame. Just be prepared and you will be fine.

I bought gold pans for the last spring hang. We didnt know where to go so me and my son went to a nearby creek. Needless to say we didnt find anything, or we found stuff and didnt know it because we had no idea what we were doing.

Maybe we can find where to go and what to do.

I have a bunch of stuff for my kids and they are all grown and away from my home . I would like to do some Tenkara fishing all so .

Well I got a new under quilt for Christmas. I'm pretty sure someone wants me to stay warm if I decide to hang when it's cold. I'm thinking it's gonna be cold for this hang, so it may be hard to talk KingsFord into going. You guys are going to have to help convince him to come, he doesn't like cold, and by cold I mean under 45 degrees. I'd be happy to come out and make some chili and cornbread, and maybe some Oriental Chicken salad again for lunch if we come. Gonna keep the cooking down a bit this year. We decided time and money are to be spared in 2015, so less cooking and more relaxing at the hangs. As KingsFord says we go to enjoy the woods and the company, so we need to spend more time doing that.

I agree that you both need to relax more instead of working your butt off. But we are all thankful for what you do. Hopefully we can make this hang also

Hey y'all, I'm just across the Pee Dee from URE so I'll be glad to bring a pile of firewood for the group.
I'm either in the woods or trying to get there asap.
