Wonderful job there. I do love me some leftovers as well.
Is it one layer of CS or 2 layers. How low do you plan on going with this new UQ?

Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you
It's a single layer of CS 5. I was trying it out tonight inside and I was way too warm lol.
Plus my mind was awake so I am up again. I am not sure how low it will go. It's really
intended as a 3 season UQ. I suppose with this warm snap its supposed to go down to 26
Fahrenheit tomorrow night.. (nice change from actual winter up in Canada) I could go set the
hammock up and just try it for a bit and see.
As for size I am very happy with it. It tucks up behind my head and down past the calves.
Must be laying diagonal gives me a more efficient use of the length?

Looks great. I'm big on efficient use of materials, so this one makes me smile.
Crayons - they might look different, but they all taste the same
Very nice work there.
Hmmm matching top quilt perhaps?
Looking good.
Where did you get this camo fabric from? The pattern looks like what the German army used
German Flecktarn Camo, found it on ebay from Germany. 68" wide.
My favorite!
Top Quilt
This morning I figured I would complete my ensemble.
I will continue in this thread rather than starting a new one. My goal was to use up left overs and make a top quilt without waste. My Camo Ripstop wasn't long enough however it was wide enough so I snipped a little here and added it there. You can see the join in the close up picture.

It was the same with the ClimaShield Apex 5. I have a lot on the roll but I could use a simple width with no waste and some that was left over from the UQ. Simply threaded through it with a small overlap (no compression) It really stayed together. Then pinned and sewed it together. You can't tell there's a bulge when it's completed.

Sewed, hemmed a bottom channel, added some shock cord. I chose not to sew it closed. I also did not want to use velcro since it's nice to have a quilt to wrap around you (or the misses). Instead Im using those tiny little clips similar to bra clips. I need to pic up a couple to complete it. It looks good!

I took them all out for a hang. Works good.
That's TQ and UQ in that bundle. CS5 rolls up nice.. better than stuffing.
Just want to thank Kyle at Ripstopbytheroll.com for the CS5 and the HyperD
fabric.
