This is my most common complaint. I've found that, if I overdo it at the gym, running, biking, or on the trail, that my hammock helps with my lower back more than my bed. This is usually (at a minimum) a bi-weekly occurrence, since I go pretty hard in my workouts in order to be ready for the trail. YMMV, of course.

Glad to hear that you're feeling better!

My inversion table really helps me if I tweak something. Just make sure your not blaming your hammock for something its not doing!!

My ridge runner has been golden for my back, every night since March except rare hotel or friends guest rooms. My back loves my hammock.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the strength to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Well, so far I've been perfect again.
Didn't wanna find out there was a cumulative effect. Haha.

Aside from not wanting to wake up in the morning!

I think, when my back starts bothering me, it is due to much at the gym, being dehydrated, or bad posture while reading/watching tv.

I was having some lower back problems in my first hammock which was a 9.5 ft but after moving up to 10.5 ft and now an 11 ft the problems have gone away. I get a better night sleep in my hammock with out a pillow then I do on my memory foam mattress with memory foam pillow.

I second this. Had to spend a week in the hammock due to having shingles. Needless to say if I could talk the wife into it I would sleep in it every night.

It could just be a matter of adjusting your hammock. If your body is more comfortable sleeping on the ground listen to it, but that doesn't mean you have to give up hammocking entirely!
