Had to use my Blackbird as a bivy

I took another motorcycle trip last week to Bristol for the NASCAR race and when we got to the camp ground there was no possible place for me to hang.

So I tied one end of my blackbird to a tree in a fence line and the other end to my motorcycle and used it like bivy sack.

It worked out good since I had brought along a heavy ground cover, but let me tell you the walmart blue pad is not worth a dang for sleeping on the ground.

Also the camp site was on a hill and I kept sliding to the foot end of the hammock. It kept the bugs and my tarp kept the rain off of me, so I was happy.

I took my claytor to the ground once when canoeing and camped on an island. There were no trees, however; I had my camprest and was on soft sand. Gotta say though, it felt very "close" as compared to hanging, even though I had about the same amount of room. Swinging free in the air is much more exhilarating. (sp?)
