My first locked brummel splice! And first continuous loop!

OK, OK, it's no big deal - but who else could I tell?

Help! Stop me before I splice again!

The guys at the office poke fun at me when I pull the bag of rope out at lunch. They just don't understand the simple pleasures!

I felt the same way with my first splices. No one at my house cares .

The only part I don't like about splicing is preparing the tapers. It's tedious IMO. Other than that, I love splicing stuff. Dynaglide seems the easiest to do the tapers, and I like splicing that more than amsteel or zing-it, but I don't use it often. Only for adjustable ridgelines, mostly.

Congrats on your first of MANY splicing projects to come. Before you know it, you'll be giving loops, whoopies, shackles, and ridgelines away because you have too many. Then you'll make more... give away... make more... give away....

    Have fun!

Woo Hoo! Great job. Now attach that to the end of your hammock (or tarp - I can't tell if that is amsteel or lashit) and get hanging!

The true pleasure is when you hang from them and they hold you up. Good work.
