What is the weight limit if I were to make a hammock out of PolyD 1.2?
And, I was wondering how the material feels compared to HyperD. Same, similar or completely different?
Thanks in advance!

I don't have answers to your questions, but I do have 4 yards of 1.2 PolyD that I am going to make a new hammock out of in the next week or so (have to finish up the hammocks I am making for gifts first!). It is very soft and smooth fabric and I am really looking forward to trying it out. Right now, all I have used is my DIY gathered end made of 1.9 ripstop and a Grand Trunk Ultra light (nice fabric, but WAY TOO short and narrow!), so I don't have a lot to compare to. I will certainly shoot you a quick review when I get to hang in it.
If you go to hammeck.com you can see their suggested loads. (scroll down)

Perfect! 225 lbs is more than enough for me!

On Dutch's website he suggest 200lbs as a weight limit on the 1.2 PolyD hammock.

I own a HyperD hammock and bought 4 PolyD hammocks for Christmas. I've not had a chance to try the PolyD, since they are gifts, but after Christmas morning I will have a chance to try them out. I'll post my thoughts here then.

I am conservative with 200 pound limit. I use it myself and I am topping 210 with no problem. i just prefer to be conservative since I carry other fabrics that cover up to 285. The PolyD is mean't to have very little stretch your be really soft.

Definitely low stretch. The lay feels "solid" to me. This probably doesn't help anyone, but the first thing that came to my mind when I used it was the "solid" feel of the Grand Trunk all terrain hybrid hammock (when was the last time that hammock was mentioned !!). Of course the polyD is much softer fabric and a lot lighter than that.
Disclaimer: I like more substantial hammocks, so I haven't used the 1.2oz PolyD or the 1.0oz HyperD for a single layer hammock. I'm still in the process of making double layer hammocks out of both fabrics. However, I have single layer DIY hammocks made from 1.4oz PolyD and 1.6oz HyperD.
PolyD and HyperD are very different fabrics. The HyperD is very soft; it feels almost a bit velvety. The 1.6oz has a bit of stretch (I'm ~135lbs), but less than other 1.6oz fabrics. But to me it feels as if it is a tad more stretchy than 1.9oz fabric.
The PolyD on the other hand is glossy and kind of stiff. It also produces a lot of static. Sewing it was a pita, but it seems that my needle was not sharp enough. The lay it provides is completely different from any other fabric I have tried. It has a tiny bit of stretch, so it doesn't feel like I'm lying on the floor - but it stretches differently. Probably the stretch zones are smaller than with nylon. This results in a super flat lay for me. I was completely blown away the first time I tested my hammock. I also haven't got a calf ridge, which I have in pretty much all hammocks. Still, the 1.4oz single layer hammocks feels not substantial enough for me, which is why I'm working on a 1.2oz double layer hammock. I wish the 1.2oz PolyD came in the same colors as the 1.4oz... I really like the olive and the navy...
Bottom line: I would prefer the HyperD, really, but the lay of the PolyD is much better for my needs.
The only Hennessy hammock I have is the Safari, and this is made of a very heavy and strong fabric. It must be much heavier than 1.9oz. It's difficult to compare because the Hennessy is whipped differently than my DIY hammocks, and it also has a fixed ridgeline. I can't set it up the same way to get a meaningful comparison.
