My daughter has asked for an ENO for her birthday, and I made an adjustable structural ridgeline for her to use with it. I threw together a UCR for her, and to keep tension on the far side of the bury, since she's not a knot person, I spliced a fixed loop which I prusik'ed on, figuring it is highly unlikely to ever come undone for her that way.
Then I thought...is there a reason why I've never seen it done t hat way? I got out my old ENO and it worked fine for me for an hour or so of casual napping, but before I give it to her, I thought I'd check with the hive mind to see if someone says, "Silly person, that will self-destruct in 2 weeks because porcupines are allergic to raisins" or some such.
