Thanks for the post! My son is wanting a hammock and weighs about as much as you do. I was on the forum to ask which fabric was best and there was your post! Thanks! Do you use a UQ? My son won't be able to afford one, so was thinking double layer simply to hold the pad in place.

Your welcome, Syrrka! For the weight/strength of HyperD 1.6 and how much it costs, it's a win/win for those on a budget. It would make a great DL - something I want to try after the holidays. Yes, I use an UQ, but there are lots of posts here on HF for a low cost insulation solution that work very well. I started with pads years ago and they work even better with the newer closed cell pads that are available now.
