I also have down pants on the want list and your pricing would put them more in reach. I am not so much worried about having the reinforcements as I would be the gusseted crotch. I am a Mountain Khaki pants fan and my favorite feature is the gusseted crotch. No binding is a big plus for me

Very cozy! But why stop at pants, how about some UGQ down moccasins or booties to go with them?

They look like a snug fit. Is the knee articulated at all? Gotta move. I miss my old Frostline down pants (circa 1974). They had full side zippers, waist to ankles.

They actually fit pretty darn good, move very well, very basic construction, if we start adding all the reinforcements, full length zippers, pocket zippers. articulated knees, gusseted crotch, etc we will be driving cost up again. Some of these ideas may make it on to the final product as we go through development but we also do not want to end up with another $275 pair of down pants.....

I'll have a more detailed review after this coming weekend....

Great looking work. Are you considering offering those with a thin primaloft? It would seem that they would offer better insulation when compressed or sleeping in them as well as a potential under layer. It would also seem easier to manufacture and cheaper. I picked up a thin primaloft jacket and it's growing on me, if only it was cold enough to use it more down here.

A quality pair of Down pants are on my wish list. I do a lot of hiking and backpacking in Winter here in MI, and would most definitely be something I would get. Great idea Paul!
I've gone to find myself. If I get back before I return, make sure I stay here.
