Looking good.. I tried all my local stores here a few times but apparently down is so popular in florida.

Living in southern AZ doesn't lend itself to many down filled anything second hand. I did find a comforter once. The 2nd hand store wanted almost $300 for it. I passed.

Nice. I finished my UQ recently and was contemplating a TQ. I did the recovered down thing also. Fun.
Your quilt looks great. This whole sewing thing gets easier with a little practice huh. Now the new conundrum, the family has been joining me more and more. 30 degree weather used to be a deterrent, but now that thread and feathers have made friends they're more than happy to throw a pack on for a little winter backpacking. Of course the wife and kids get the warmest stuff, which leaves me with the old gear. So don't pack up you're thread and fabric just yet. You may have to make another.
Enjoy the quilt(s) and let us know how they performed.

Crayons - they might look different, but they all taste the same
Looks great. I like the tape idea.
I don't find any good camping gear, thread injectors or down items in my area thrift stores.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
