Hey Gang! After a year of being entertained by Shug, Rob at Backpacking Adventures, and Sintax77...just to name a few, I've decided to launch a YouTube channel of my own based on this thread I started not long after joining this site. The Dabbler's Den will not only focus on where I'm at right now with my hammock camping, but also what it means to be a dabbler and how I plan to introduce these many hobbies to my little girl. I'm truly at the infancy stage with this current dabble so I highly encourage feedback that will make it better. Enjoy!

Welcome, Chum. I'm kinda jealous that you have a tiny snuggle bug to nap with in your hammock. Those make the best chest warmers, but they get too big, too fast, and eventually go to college and make fun of you on social media and.... Wait...... I got ahead of myself.... Enjoy your precious baby. Spend as much time outside, finding adventure in the small moments as well as the large.

Dabbler - that's me all the way. I love being a beginner/dabbler. I get totally immersed in the new thing until i feel like i'm getting good at it then i look for the next shiny thing. For me it's been snow sailing, skiing, mountain biking, road biking, running, cross country skiing, windsurfing, woodworking, car racing, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, boating, and i'm sure i' leaving something out. If i could only stick with on thing! Sometimes it's stressful trying to make time for all of them. My wife can't believe that i actually have a hobby now that involves lying down, somtimes even in our own back yard. Hammocking is a great hobby for spending time with the family.
