Here's the itinerary:

4:30 - Dinner at Ruby Tuesday next door to REI in Brentwood. RSVPs are very helpful, so I can tell Ruby Tuesday how many to expect.

6:30 - Presentation next door at REI. Speaker to be determined. Suggestions, anyone?

Questions? Volunteers? Complaints? Anyone needing a place to stay? Anyone offering a place to stay for out-of-towners?

Rainman - I have been to a few of these before and have always enjoyed myself. Unfortunately that date is not good for me. Hope y'all have fun. If for some reason the date gets changed I would love to join the group. P.S. please understand this is not a request - I know how difficult (or impossible) it is to accommodate everyone.

Well, this weekend is the annual Nashville dinner for AT enthusiasts. I have about two dozen hikers signed up across the three sites where I posted the invite, from several states.

The presentation this year is a video I got from the ATC on the origins and construction of the AT. It's darn good and I look forward to seeing it a second time.

There will be a hike at Radnor Lake State Natural Area at 1:30 or 2:00 (TBD) led by past AT thru-hiker "Stambler," if enough folks want it. Post to let me know.

Dinner is still at 4:30 at the Brentwood Ruby Tuesday next to REI. The video presentation will be at 6:30 in the REI Community Room.

I'm looking forward to it, once again. It's a great opportunity to take your sweetie out to dinner on Valentine Day AND a good excuse to shop at REI to boot!!!
