I think im doing it wrong!

When ever I set up my new blackbird, the shelf is a foot or too abouve my head, so much so that I cant reach to the bottom without sitting up, and it makes a large wall of fabric right next to me.... I think I may be setting it up wrong but I really dont know...

    Thanks!

ive staked it out, but maybe not at the right angles? How far do you stake out the ones on each side?

Here is as far as I can reach my hand in while laying down in the hammock... As you can see, not far as in this pic my arm is vertical not horizontal.

Is the ridgeline tight or loose? when you get in, can you get the hammock to spread out under you?

Aren't you still 14 or something? You'll grow into it.

There are some good videos on YouTube.

I believe this one is from Warbonnetguy(Brandon) himself:

Starting at 5:20 he explains staking out the guy lines.

    Hope that's of some help.
