    Anyone try Cajan XT

I picked up a few of the ALUMINUM (280lb Load, 850 lb break strength) XT Cajams to hang my DIY hammock. Looks like an extremely easy method of hanging/adjusting a hammock for someone like myself who really sucks at tying knots.

I was wondering how they work and if the eccentric wheel clamps would damagethe 1/8" Samson Validator-12 Dyneema line I use to connect the hammock to the strap.

I'm curious why you would combine 2700 lb Validator-12 (at ~2-3 times the cost of Amsteel Blue for a 200 lb gain) and combine it with an 837 lb CamJam XT.

The tried and true "whoopie sling, tree strap, toggle and marlinspike hitch" method is super easy to adjust, light weight and pretty much bombproof. (my favorite method!) Might be a better alternative?
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.
