    First (small) down project

I have quite a bit of down I harvested from a quilt and plan to make an under quilt and top quilt, but having never worked with down, I wanted to practice on a smaller project. A sewn threw hand warmer. Used a vacuum and tube with no see um on the end to extract down from zip lock, then gently pushed down into the baffles. Over all pretty bappy with results. It will come in handy watching my son play baseball. First game is Feb. 5.

Thank you! I have looked at my 17 ziplock bags of down for too long. I finally decided to try. I might make a mess of the whole thing but I won't know till I try.

Thanks. It hurts my head to try to figure all of these measuements and differentials out. Thats why I love when people post threads that say "cut this size with this seam allowence and sew here"
