    Eno Ember 2...

    https://www.eaglesnestoutfittersinc....ct/EMBER2.html

How is this a 4-season underquilt? It appears to go down to 50 degrees.

You could use it for four seasons but you might get a little chilly doing so.

Drop the price to $75 or so and I'd pick one up to use on chilly summer nights.

Jarbidge will weigh about 3 ounces less, for the same money, and is proven to 25º (well, took mine down to 42º at least so far and I as toasty - read about a lot of other people using it down to the correct rating).

Everything I've heard and read aligns with that. And it's cottage goods.

Its not and the website doesn't say that it is. In a bit of purposely vague language, IMO, it begins the Ember 2 description with a comment on hanging in general, that its now a four season activity. Apparently the Ember 2 fits in when it starts getting cold. That should clue you in to ENO's attitude on their products - they are for folks that get uptight about going out in 50 degree weather. Who knows what they're doing in 60 degree weather, whereas all us experienced folks have underquilts already. Clearly its a one season product when compared to anything else out there, and again, they don't really say anything different from that, though this is the second thread I've seen questioning whether its a 4-season quilt.

Although I agree that its not 4 season, the one good thing about ENO is they seem to be the go to starter hammock for people who have never hammock camped before. The fact that they now offer quilts just helps those new hammock hangers have a chance to hang more even if it is only a month or 2 more into the cooler season. Hopefully those people will one day discover this forum like I did and educate themselves on all the possibilities out there. ENO has the market in alot of the outdoor shops so maybe this will make people research other underquilts via google or something and stumble across other options.

It doesn't say it on that page, but it did say it somewhere in their advertising. I definitely saw something about 4 season...
