I sewed up an eleven foot hammock in olive drab 1.9 0z from rip stop by the roll. I love this color! After hemming the edges, I folded down two inches of each short end and sewed two stiches. I used XTracker's (as well as others I'm sure) method of using a zip tie to cinch the fabric. Also used XTracker's method of larks heading a continuous loop to hammock. I added the "knotty Mod" on both long sides. One 30 inches from foot end and the other 30 inches from the head end and both have 30 inch shock cord in the hem with micro cord locks at each end. It wasn't bad sewing it up and I love the way it looks.

It just looks cleaner and more professional. I finished the hammock late last night and haven't had a chance to hang it yet but I will post some pictures when I do. The shock cord helps draw the sides tighter without putting too much stress on the seams when sitting on the side or entry/exit.
