Dang, pretty sweet.Very nice work. How does it lay? I'm guessing very supportive with two fabrics that don't stretch.
My head is an animal
Is it breathable cuben?

That's pretty cool looking ...you bringing it to the hang this weekend????
I designed this to mostly use a 26" wide pad, for my SOBO AT hike this year. It's as comfortable as any hammock I've ever laid in.
.51 non breathable.. Because this was made for use with a pad, and the goal to be as light as possible in a bridge..I used the .51. I want zero wind penetration to retain as much of an Rvalue as possible..

Nice! I think the cuben is a great idea to hold your pad.How do you keep your poles from collapsing? what is your min hang distance?
Ken if you look at the 3rd pic it looks like his poles are already collapsed all the way.
The pad is going to act as a VB anyway so there is little need for breathability. Plus this will act as an under quilt/pad protector. When in a shelter the cuben will act as a ground sheet and the PolyD as a pad sheet.
Jlink, the foot end pole is collapsed, but the head end is expanded, so KenDen's question is a good one. A piece of dowel rod inside the pole is the method Grizz devised. It works.
You nailed it there, I also have a Cuben tubbed floor that attaches inside the tarp (ground sheet), this setup is for either hanging, shelters, or tarp tenting.
Good eye WV, ..
Ken & WV, these trekking poles are three section, the foot end as WV pointed out is fully collapsed, the head end has the smallest diameter section fully collapsed into the mid section, with the top section midway expanded. These are the Mountain Smith monopod with the camera mount on the ends, so they're a bit thicker walled tubing. Without tweaking them, I put a pretty good torsional load on them, I'm confident they'll withstand any loads applied in the hammock..
