DIY UQ from an old military sleeping bag

I took and old military 1945 artic down sleeping bag, did some cutting and sewed channels along the sides for shock cord and a channel on both ends for elastic and made a UQ. It's a little heavy but works great and was very cheap to make. I've sleep down to 26 degs with it so far and toasty warm. Just used my MMS black sleeping bag as a top quilt.

Nice use of "RePurposeing" old piece of kit. Lots of good down in those old bags. Kept me warm in many crappy areas of the world.
I have slept in a hammock in every continent from -40 to +128, under direct and indirect fire, from frost to fungus except Antarticia.... But give me time... Thank you Uncle Sugar!

I haven't taken an exact weight but it's around 2 lbs.

Great work re-purposing that old bag. Looks very comfortable!
