    shock cord source?

Searched but found no help? I am having trouble finding 1/8" shock cord for a DIY UQ project. Looked at Wally World, Jo Ann fabrics, Meijer, Hobby Lobby, and etc. with no luck. Help this noob.

Most outfitters that carry climbing gear stock shock cord. Quest Outfitters is a great online source. I buy most of mine from Ebay. It seems to have the best prices.

A little bit pricey to get what you want, but a tent pole repair kit from Academy Sports has several feet of small diameter shock cord in addition to the fiberglass poles.

Outdoor wilderness fabrics had great prices once I made and order large enough to be considered whole sale. You have to buy crazy amounts of shock cord to get to whole sale but if you are getting a bunch of fabric or something it adds up fast. Anyway, once you make it to the Wholesale status things start getting really cheap. Just my experience.

Have you got a farm supply/outdoors place called Scruggs anywhere near you? I found shock cord there.

shock cord varies in its ability to stretch and recover. I am not sure what the designations are but I do know there is a big difference between the walmart pole repair kits and the Army issue shock cord of the same diameter. There was a source on ebay that sold Army issue quality shock cord but I have lost track of who is.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

    Shock cord

I went the Academy Sport route. The kit was under $5.
