I remember firewood being a bit pricey...$35 for 1/2 a 55-gallon drums worth(?), which didn't last long. I don't see the price on their website, nor any rules about outside wood.

How did ya'll handle this last year?

If I can find it, I can bring 1/4-1/2 cord in on Saturday.

I am assuming any cooking would be on the fire. If not I guess it wont matter.

===> I don't think you can or should bring firewood in. It's a small campground, and the wood they sell helps keep them afloat. We brought our own stoves the first time, and did cook a bit over a fire, but you should plan on doing your own cooking. I can bring the large stove we just had at NEHHA, and we could all cook on that if we need it, but I would rather use my backpacking stoves personally. For one day, a small wood stove or alcohol stove would actually suffice. Either way, we would be buying any real firewood from them. The price would be lower than $35 a barrel, I am sure.

===> I will bring a smaller 2-burner propane stove and a griddle then. Also a coupla pounds of bacon and some eggs. Depends on the room on my Pulk if I need other stuff. Hopefully there will be enough snow to use the Pulks and maybe snowshoes. Might also bring a pan of spicy Buffalo Wings to help take the chill off!

I will also pick up a bunch of wood for us when I get there. We will be good to go.

Bummer, Bill. I guess I would have been spoiled getting to see you 2x in one month!

We're choosing this one over the Sawyer Pond hang (unfortunately) because it's so much closer for us. Sawyer pond is a long drive when you can only make one night. .

I'll be over on Friday, not sure if Smokey can make it or not yet. Unless work schedule changes.
If it moves, you can eat it. No promises you will think it tastes good.
