So I just found out that I'm being sent to Soccoro, NM the first week of February for work. Being from Kentucky I'm definitely not used to that kind of scenery. I'd love to do some hiking, but I'm not at all familiar with the area. Any suggestions?

alltrails.com has a bunch of good information.
The Grand Enchantment Trail (GET) which goes from ABQ to Phoenix runs right through Soccoro. You can explore any or all of the 770 mile trail.

Drive an hour east on hwy380 and you have the Lincoln National Forest to explore.
