    First Hang Ever

My buddy and I have been dying to hammock camp where we live here in SE Tennessee and we FINALLY made it out this past weekend on the Laurel-Snow section of the Cumberland Trail. Hiked to Buzzards Point. We got to see what adjustments need to be made and such, but for our very first hang with DIY UQs and tarps, it was a huge success! We are hangers for life!

    Conditions:
    5-10 MPH winds gusting to 25MPH +
Low temps of 33° and stayed toasty warm
Rained at 0530 and stayed dry as a bone

Some of the main Equipment used:
    ENO DN (his)
ENO Reactor with Thermarest pad (mine)
    Atlas Straps
Ozark Trail sleeping bags made into DIY UQ (both)
Mountain Hardware 20° Pinole (my overquilt)
Ozark Trail sleeping bag 50° (his OQ)
    2 standard tarps
    550 paracord for Ridgeline

The last picture is the view from my hammock.
