Apex underquilt. To loop or not to loop?

I finished my first DIY underquilt out of 5.0oz Apex. It seems comfortably warm set up in my basement. Its supposed to be in the mid 40's to low 50's this week, so i'll try and get some hang time outside to really test it. It's 48x60 and with suspension weighs in around 20oz on my kitchen scale.

I know the quilting loops aren't required in Apex. Should I do them? I was surprised at how fragile it seemed. I do not plan on stuffing it in a compression sack though. I'm going to pack it my putting it at the bottom of my drybags, and packing other gear on top. Thoughts?

If you captured the outside edge of the Climashield when sewing, you do not need the quilting loops. The CS will hold itself together and in place just fine.

My CS torso UQ has various #s of layers each connected from the edges, 1st layer sewn around the edges to the shell, all other layers sewn to the other layers of CS. All seems fine after 7 or 8 years of light use(only stuffed in sacks/packs a few times).
