Howdy from a Central NY "noob"

Hey folks, hailing from Homer NY in Cortland County.

My passion for many years has been for sailing. Last summer I was given a gift card for one of our local corporate sporting goods "mart" stores and picked up a ENO DN. Original idea was to string it between my mast and front stay to be the cool guy on the dock lol. Distance was way to close causing a poor hang.

Alas due to financial issues I have decided to remove myself from the sailing scene much to my dismay, but hey, things happen. Time to move on.

So..... I'm the type of person that HAS to have a project of some sort going, at least one , finances be dammed!

    In comes that hammock!

    Woopie slings installed.
    Tree straps and toggles made.
    Alcohol stove(sssss) made.
    Fronkey bug net made.
    PLUQ made.
    Tarp ridgeline made.
    Dutch bling virus bitten.
    Cook set build in progress.
    Tarp research engaged!
    Pack research engaged!
    etc...etc...

Will be starting will some testing once temps break 40+ consistently then onto some car camping with minor hiking and then we will see.

    Nice to be here.

    Dan

Thanks Rob, came across a read of your trip on Morgan Hill. That's quite close to me so I may have a look see around. Nice dutch bling vid btw.

    Thanks All!

Stryder, nice project there. Those dory's are sweet.

cmseeley, oh the stories I wish I could tell about my ventures in Horseheads. A previous life I truly miss.
