Here's a good comparison of my HG quilts. +1oz in each one. I was wrong about the 20L; you had it right at 15L exactly.

How about using compression sacks for when you are backpacking to shrink the volume? That's what I use for my huge Big Agnes down bag and it works great. I ONLY have it compressed while in transit. I never store it that way.

That's definitely an option. The only time I use (used) compression sacks is when there's just no way to fit something in a pack. I say "used" because I no longer use a sleeping bag, and the one I had was literally too wide in its stuff sack to even fit in my pack by a few inches. I compressed that and it worked fine. But now I only use top quilts and they easily pack into a sack liner along with any UQ no problem.
