    Showing off the new hammock

Just wanted to share pictures of my first hammock and say thanks for all of the great info and videos on this site.
In late November I ordered me a Simply Light Designs Trail Lair because it was at such a great price in the "Gear Up and Get Out" Section.
A few weeks later I used some Christmas money and purchased a WL Tadpole Tarp.

I've mostly only used the hammock for some day time lounging but I did sleep in it with a sleeping pad during a mild night at deer camp
after Christmas. I'm looking forward to some backpacking on the Lone Star Trail in March to really test out the new set up. I'll probably
wait to purchase my UQ later in the year when fall returns.

Looks great. I'm in the same boat, starting with a pad, but will probably invest in an underquilt in the future.

I am very happy with Jared's quality! He was off enjoying the Thanksgiving holidays when I put in my order but he had it sent out on his first day back at work.

Dutch I'm also pleased with your products. My second order of Zing-it and a dutch wasp is on the way! Probably won't be my last order either.

Congratulations...you look like a happy hammocker. Is there any such thing as an unhappy hammocker?

Thanks! Oh and I forgot to mention, that was my wife laying in those two pictures. If she had an underquilt she probably would have fallen asleep easily after our lunch.

Nice rig. Looks very comfortable. Have a look at the AHE Jarbridge. Pretty inexpensive for an UQ, and great quality. I am a full time hanger and use mine every night. Bang for the buck can't be beat in my opinion.

    Cheers
