What is the distance between the buckles when setup. I’m doing a little research to see if it will work with the single line suspension setup I have now or will I need to make another one for it.

As I recall, it is about 13'.
WOW! that is long, does it require a custom tarp to cover it all or do you leave some of the suspension past the edges of the tarp? If so how do you handle rain running down the lines?

11' tarp covers well past the end of the hammock itself.
I agree with the 13 foot post.

I don't need to make my pack lighter. I need to make my (_*_) lighter.
I shortened the Amsteel triangles at each end. With a Dutch biner at each end my length buckle to buckle is 11 ft.

Passinthru and Nighthauk, what length doggones are you using for the head and foot ends?

It is long, isn't it? Before I saw an answer had already been made, I was just going to answer "a real long distance". At least it always seems like it compared to any of my non-bridge or even the 9 ft or so of my JRB bridges. But, I guess it is required with those wide spreader bars that give you all that shoulder room.
