Here is the latest update from what I can tell

    The Place

    Friday evening
Velvet Rocks Shelter, 0.8 mi on the AT Northbound out of Hanover, NH. See http://www.dartmouth.edu/~doc/hiking/velvetrocks/
    Parking
Best bets might be the Hanover Public Parking Garage at 7 Lebanon St. It's half a mile from the trail and there's an outfitter right nearby. Dartmouth Lot A is available if you register with the Dartmouth Outing Club (DOC). The Hanover Co-op lot is off limits.

You can pick up any last-minute provisions from the Hanover Co-op just before the trail head. It's at 51 Park St.

    Saturday evening
0.2 miles on AT Northbound from Three Mile road outside of Hanover, NH.
There should be a fire ring is probably within 30 yards of the trail.
    Parking
This is a small parking area at three Mile road. This link may help some.

It would be wise to (1) dress warm, and (2) request a map from the DOC, if you need one.

The weather forecast is looking good. Only a 30% chance of showers on Friday night and Saturday (% has been decreasing over the past couple of days). Highs in the low 50's and lows in the high 30's to 40 range.

I am not sure if you will see us off Three Mile road on Saturday morning. We will most likely be there in the late afternoon or evening. First we have to pack up from the lean-to. I think there was also some type of day hike lined up for Saturday also. Somebody verify this cause I cannot remember. Who is heading this hang anyways?

It'll depend upon whether I get there early Friday, Park at Three Mile Road, and hike back to Velvet Rocks shelter... or park park in Hannover, kill some time, then hike to the shelter.... and all that will depend upon what the consensus for activities on Saturday is. Are we staying local and hiking to Three Mile Road and maybe Moose Mountain later on, or heading somewhere else? Since this is a get together hang and not a hiking trek, I think staying local might be the best plan. Those at Velvet Rocks Friday night will hike to, and meet up with those arriving Saturday as quickly as our legs can get us the six miles there. Then we can head out to Moose Mountain. Just a suggestion since we need some sort of a firm plan or we'll be scattered around the area.

Wow, somebody's supposed to be heading this hang? ;-)

All I know is, we're meeting at Velvet Rocks on Friday afternoon and at Three Mile Road on Saturday afternoon. I'll be hiking back to Hanover on Sunday and plan to get back around 11AM. Other than that, I think we're winging it.

I'm open to any good ideas for the Saturday hike.

Looks like my wife will be meeting me in Hanover late Sunday morning, so perhaps I'll hitch a ride from Three Mile Rd if anyone's offering.
