Ironically, I was just thinking the same thing. I got my name down! Pulling the trigger on a kayak this weekend. This trip was a great catalyst to get one.

I've narrowed it down to a couple. Appomattox River Co in Ashland has a couple last year models that I like. It's looking like either a Dagger Zydeco 11, a Dagger Axis 12, or a Wilderness Systems Aspire 105

Wilderness Systems is a great boat. I have a Pongo 120 and love it.

Also, I'd love to assist with scouting for the trip. Any reason to get on the river is a good reason.

Here's a link to Shenendoah River details that may prove helpful in planning: http://virginiarivers.org/index.php/shenandoah-river

Just as soon as I had it all figured out, Corey gave me another option. I'm going to look at an Old Town Guide 119 too. One man canoe paddled like a yak.
