It absolutely helps with increasing the temperature. I used this last winter when it got down to 4 degrees and i was using two quilts but it helped a lot. It also helps tremendously if there is wind. It does help with moisture but it is not waterproof.

Im only getting rid of it because the black bird is to small for me and this wont work on my 11' dream hammock
