Dogs are great. I bring my dog hiking a few days a week. I hope to start camping with him soon.

I've done some short trial runs (indoors)...and believe it or not..we both fit quite well. I guess the good side is that I can go light on the top quilt, since I'll be wearing a dog!
Ah yes the Vizlsla Velcro dog. As much as mine would love to join me In my hammock I am sure he would end up tearing my netting. Mine sleeps on pad with blanket under my hammock. He usually stays up most of the first night checking out the nite noises, but the second night and miles later sleeps well.
And even if you saw it yourself, you wouldn't believe it
But I wouldn't trust a person like me, if I were you

Ruff Wear makes great doggie gear. My dog (Mini Aussie) wears the Cloud Chaser jacket in the winter when it's really snowing a lot (not this year) and it keeps him from getting a ton of snow balls in his fur. My rafting buddy uses that same jacket on his chocolate Lab for rafting in colder weather & for winter warmth while hiking. They also make really nice dog booties if you are worried about your dog's paws on the trail.

Ruff Wear does make some nice gear. I am gonna order the booties here this weekend actually. I wish I knew how to knot wool to make her a wool hoodie. Amazon has some nice stuff too.

I got the Ruffwear K9 Overcoat for my dog. Fleece lining inside and a durable, waterproof fabric on the outside so when she goes running through the woods it doesn't rip. Really nice quality and if you are patient enough you can usually get really nice deals on last years colors on eBay.

Sorry I never noticed this part of your post. She is a working dog. I was diagnosed with ptsd in October. I'm still training her, she is doing very well!
