SC > PSH 4th Annual Spring Swing> April 23-26 Huntington Beach State Park, Murrells Inlet, SC

Palmetto State Hangers is proud to present:
Spring Swing 2015: SHAGGIN' IN HAMMOCKS

    Sign up sheet:
    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

Who: Palmetto State Hangers and all our friends
    When: April 23-26, 2015
Where: Huntington Beach State Park, Murrells Inlet, SC - Primitive Sites 2/3
Why: Because beaches are awesome, Shagging is awesome, and there's no reason the two can't be combined with a trip to the woods.

It's that time of year again when we get sand between our toes, the refreshing smell of that salty ocean air that opens your lungs up to the world, and take Huntington Beach by storm. There's trees, Spanish moss, and bear boxes to keep the ravenous coons out of our vittles, as well as history galore at the park itself (check out Atalaya if you've never been - it's something special. Brookgreen Gardens is also right across the street).

This year we're gonna be Shaggin' on the beach! If you're not familiar with it, The Carolina Shag is the State Dance of South Carolina and has been happening on our beaches since the 1940's. No shirt, no shoes, no problem - it's Shagadellic, baby! Just get on the beach and move your feet for a chance to win a prize.

Also, we'll be hosting a Spring Cleaning Gear Swap, so take a look through your gear closets and find that stuff that you bought a few years ago and never bothered to mess with beyond taking it out of the package and looking at it real hard. Old or new, used or unused, bring it out to the gear swap and see what somebody might swap you for it or maybe they'll just buy it outright.

Bunny Bog will be provided for Friday night dinner. If anybody would like to bring a dessert (or multiple people would like to bring a dessert 'cause you can never have too much dessert), please denote that on the spreadsheet.

Cost for this event and the accompanying good time is $5/head for non-Supporting Members. Supporting Members are free to this event (and all the Shaggin' you care to do). If you would like to join Palmetto State Hangers at this event, the cost will be $10 which will cover your membership for the remainder of the camping year (to be renewed at Fall Sprawl 2015 in September)

Leave me alone, I'm only talking to my dog today.

I was reminded, by someone who shall remain nameless, about all the pollen there last year. I got the worst head cold I've had in a long time after last years hang. The nameless person doesn't want to have to clean pollen off the new tarp he got for his birthday. I guess I have to agree with him.

The hang is a month later this year. Most of the pollen should be gone by then.

That is great news, he can keep his tarp pollen free then. Maybe if I ask sweet enough we can come for a night.
