After 15+ hours of labor, it's finally complete. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. I've affectionately dubbed it "The Camo Coffin", 'cause it's so comfortable, when I sleep in it the first time, I may not come out and they can just bury me in it. It's Argon 1.6 in Woodland Camo and 132" x 54" and the bugnet zips off and stows in the foot end. I've been wanting an 11' hammock for a while now, so I finally pulled the trigger. I'll start with the materials I purchased.

Added the "hood" at the head end with a slight cat cut for the zipper to run around smoothly.
pinned the zipper coil
Hung the hammock and used Lost Biker's method for attaching the net.
Bar tacked the zipper ends together.
After sewing the net, I attached 1" gross grain around the perimeter of the hammock, sandwiching the net and zipper coil. I do this to my hammocks because I think it strengthens the net binding and gives rigidity to the zipper. At the foot end I sew the two edge bindings together and form a 2" loop for my suspension to run through. I believe this also adds a bit of strength to the net binding. I made a stuff sack for the net to stow in the foot end. When I sewed the foot end channel , I sandwiched a gross grain loop in it, for hanging the net stuff sack. Here are pics of the finished hammock, net on and off.
