    Hello from Jakarta

    Hello, apa kabar !

Greetings from Jakarta, Indonesia. Here not many people camping using hammock (they prefer tents), but now i've had hammock camping for five times and I am sold,
Looking forward to tapping into your expertise as this is a whole new thing for me. Now i got Eno Pronest hammock, Akira Mata (local brand) hammock, and lastly (by using shipping forwarder services) got Warbonnet Blackbird XLC (what an expensive purchase, lol). For tarp, i am using local no brand tarp. No top quilt or underquilt yet. Btw thanks to Mr Shug for his videos.

    terima kasih

Welcome aloft from McCormick, SC. I think you may get a few converts once some of your friends try the hammocks.

thanks, .. yes now some of my friends are converting to hammock, and we even have plan to do a hammock gathering in the end of this month in Sukabumi, about 80kms from Jakarta.
Previously we already had mini gathering in Bogor, 60km from Jakarta, with 8 people show up (one of them have hennesy which he bought some years ago and never use before)
Maybe this time there will be more participants,

I think hammocks should be superior to tents in the damp jungles.

    Selamat datang!
I would love to hang in Indonesia! I lived there for a year, and it is so beautiful! Hanging probably keeps you away from most of the creepy crawlies on the ground.
