Dutch - I just spent the past 20 minutes surfing your site. You have all of the gear necessary to build a bridge hammock, is a custom bridge fair game as well?

Considering I've never made my own hammock or tarp before I don't necessarily know all the materials I would need or quantities. But here's my stab at it.

I'd like to make an all black tarp and 11' hammock with Whoopie Hooks and tree straps.

    Hammock
    8-yards black Argon 1.6
    1-spool black Gutterman Thread
    50'- black 7/64" Amsteel
    25'- black premium webbing
    2-Whoopie hooks
    2-Titanium Dutch clips

    Tarp
    8-yards black PolyD 1.2
    4-plastic triangles
    2-Tarp Flyz
    50'-black Lawson reflective cord
    50'-Lash-it
    25'-1/8" shock cord

    Thanks Dutch!

Yes, but I don't have spreader bar poles on my site yet...

You would have to buy them separately but the Ti bridge hammock ends are available.

Whoa. This sounds really cool. I wish I had an original idea. I'm not there yet.

Dang this is cool. But I just bought a Singer 4432 and wouldn't have a clue how to make a hammock.

The girlfriend and I are planning a bridge hammock with materials from Dutchware. This is a great thread to stumble upon for our pending project!

Wish list will be posted soon.

To prove that wider and longer is better:

A 12' long x 6' wide Argon 1.6 hammock with Fronkey Bug net, cuben tarp:

    Hammock:

    8 yards brown Argon 1.6
    25 Feet Zing It
    (2) Cinch Buckle (I use dyneema racer slings instead of Amsteel loops)
    Brown Gutterman
    (2) Dutch Clips

    Net:
    8 yards No-See-Um
    25 feet Shock Cord
    Cord Lock

    Tarp:
    8 yards green cuben
Enough tape to do the job
    50 feet Zing it
    6 D Rings
    (2) Cinch Buckles
    (2) Dutch clips
50 feet webbing (I use straps and buckles for tarp suspension)

    Then:

You ship the thread injector to another guy and I'll ship him 10 yards of 1.55 Epsilon from my stock for a winter sock or tarp and pay you to ship him/her 4 yards each of No-See-Um and his/her choice of hammock nylon.

This is awesome. I've always wanted to try my hand at a DIY project. There truly is something to be said about being able to say I made this.

I would like to make a DL hammock with a removable bug net and optional over cover for those cold winter nights.

12 yards of brown argon 1.6
    25 ft of camo webbing
    2 Dutch Buckles
25 feet of black amsteel for a ridgeline
    spool of olive thread
4 yards of Nano no see um
    25 feet of lash it
    10 inch loop turner
25 feet of 3/32 shock cord.
    4 sew on quilt hooks.
    8 plastic triangles

Being new to this and having never made a thing, I wouldn't know where to start as far as materials go or how much so, if I can still enter and by some chance win, I would need some help picking out the materials. I now own a Hennessey Hammock and only know what I would change if I knew more before hand. I like the length but not crazy about the bottom entry(limits the type of UQ I can use) I would want the side zip either on one side or down both sides so that I can tuck it into a stuff sack at the foot end. Also would like a generous tarp with doors on either end that can be taken off. The suspension would be 4'or 5' tree huggers with Dutch clips, whoopee slings with whoopee hooks and continuous loops on the hammock. The ridge line would be a continuous ridgeline. This would be my ideal setup
