Okay, Dutch! Here's my plan. I'm a total DIY guy when it comes to building, but I have zero experience with sewing. So I want to stop off with something relatively simple. I'm thinking a HikingDad-style DIY bridge hammock with a removable bugnet. My little twist on his excellent videos will be to make a dual-layer PolyD 1.2 hammock, and make the bugnet fully zippered, removable, and built with a tarp-style ridge line.
Thanks for offering this tremendous opportunity! It really got me thinking, and it was a ton of fun.
