You don't hear about the need for drip lines much, but I guess that when you need them it's too late. Do you need them with a Hammock Anchor or not?

I haven't tried my hammock anchors yet, but my impression is that the end portion of the leader will act as a drip line.
Haven't used Hammock Anchors, but my guess is, as long as the hardware is covered by your tarp, any water running down the line should just run off the Anchor. I have used quite a few different hammock suspensions and always had the hardware under my tarp. I never noticed any water reaching my hammock.
I've only had mine out in the rain once, but no drip lines were needed.

Whats a hammock anchor?
Hammock Anchors are a way to attach your hammock to the tree huggers. They are similar to Speed Hooks. Here is a link to a description of them. https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...hor-Suspension
Just checked his site and Hammockfan is currently 'Out of Stock' on everything. Does anyone know if this is permanent- out of business kind of deal? Hope not as I was thinking about trying the anchor.
Buttinasling is now selling them......http://www.buttinasling.com/suspension.html
