There is a size limit in the wilderness. The campground is across the street and is in bankhead forest which does not have a limit. That's why we hang there. Kids are more than welcome. There were several kids at the last one I attended.

But yea, I'd like to say I could come for sure but it all depends on how school is going at the moment. I'll have finals the next week and my brother is graduating from Alabama on May 2nd, so I'm already having to take off for that.
I still need to do my trip report for the Sipsey. I've been MIA since my classes have ramped up.
Wolf Pen, for the uninitiated, is an excellent spot. Plenty of spots to hang and a great spot for a central fire/meeting spot for the group. Just a short hope to the trail heads as well. Perfect for a group hang.

Sounds good to me! I'd like to come and bring my son, my brother and my best friend who hikes with me. I might be able to get off on Saturday and come Saturday and Sunday. I doubt I'll get off in time Friday to make it Friday night.
Wow! Someone else from Russellville! Too cool. I live in Russellville myself...
Two heads are good, three are great, but all heads at hammockforums is the best case scenario!
We'll plan on keeping someone at camp at all times (I'll even volunteer since this my "backyard") but if there is enough interest, we will try to plan day hikes on Saturday (and maybe Sunday) led by someone familiar with the area. I'm looking forward to it!

Sounds great. I'm in!
Wish I could make it guys. I'll be in Iowa for training around that time.
Never heard of wolfpen. I'll have to look that up on the map.
Enjoy!
Does anyone have a good map of Sipsey or can link me to one that shows wolfpen?
