I don't have one, but the Superfly gets so many rave reviews, I'm going to have to try one. I've got the Hennessy Explorer. Anyone know any reason the Superfly wouldn't work for that?

I had UGQ make me a 12 X 11 set up with two pole mods but that looks just as nice. I don't mind being hunkered down backpacking for a couple days in heavy rain I actually embrace it.The guys I go with bring 8X10 and are cursing all the way I always bring a big tarp summer /winter been there done that...

Regarding seam sealing - try Permatex flowable windshield sealant from the auto parts store. Much runnier that McNett, it gets soaked up by the thread rather than sitting atop the fabric. Make sure to seal when the relative humidity is high - silicone seal needs moisture to cure.

    Enjoy your fine tarp.

I have a few tarps and thought they were nice tarps and was quite happy.... then I ordered a couple of Superfly's, I opened the box and was totally blown away by the weight, then I pulled the Superfly out of the stuff sack and I was hooked and understood what the raves were about. These things are a work of art, set up was a dream and the coverage is perfect. Can't go wrong with the Superfly.

Great pics here. I used to have a lot of tarps but many of them were given to friends or relatives who started enjoying going camping. I'm thinking of getting another one and I'm considering some of the ideas here.

Well here I am hanging out under my new super fly in the rain.guess I did not get all of my pull outs sealed up as good as I thought I did.
But with the pole mods deployed the little bit of water coming in is running down inside of fly and me and my goose down are dry still.
So has been a great test on its first trip out So far.
Will try posting a pic tomorrow after rain is done.
