    Lucky dog!

So much want to get there some time.

Changing careers and not so free to make my own plans right now.

To anyone that might be interested -- Northern NM and Southern CO are wonderful places to camp/hang year round.

Looks like a great trip! Really like seeing everyone's snow camps since we haven't had any this year. Thanks for sharing the adventure.

    I love it up there.

What Trail were you on? In the Pecos or in the NF area?

I think Trialriders Wall and Truchas are my favorite areas.

Thanks for a nice snow video Frenchy. It's nice to see some snow--this winter in ABQ has been in the 50s and 60s, too warm for winter!

Mountains aren't going anywhere, they will still be there when you have a chance to get down here

This was from above Big Tesuque (by the ski basin) down to Rio En Medio. I agree my favorite part of the Pecos Wilderness is from Pecos Baldy Lake to Truchas peak on the Trail Riders wall.

Yeah, same here, it's already spring, but like you say it could be in the 20's in a couple of days. It's kind of typical now, winter, spring, summer, winter, all within a month or so...

Looks like a really amazing trip! How did you get the video to be so stable?

    Thanks,

You are right Frenchy about heading north. I think I'll go up to the San Pedro Parks Wilderness. I hear there's still some pretty good snow up there.

I just use the stabilizer edit feature on youtube, after the video is uploaded. Not the best, but it helps a lot...

Be careful up there the amount of snow can be deceiving. on a trip last year in march there was no snow at the beginning and after a few hours of elevation gain we were post holing up to our thighs! Here a vid of that trip. Somehow I managed to only film a short section of the postholing at 3:11, but there was a lot of it. Quite tiring and frustrating after a while, but great fun!!!!
Speaking of snow woke up this am with 5 inches, yay!!!
