    Nylon 1.0 Single Layer

    Hey Dutch!

What's the news on a single layer nylon 1.0?

Us ultralighters (or maybe just me) are curious. I have a grand trunk nano 7 and use it for my ultralight trips. But something a little longer and wider would be perfect at the small weight penalty.

I made a prototype and I have been using it. My biggest concern was the stitching. I am weighing 210 right now so I am good tester. i would guess the weight limit at 200. If you contact me at [email protected], i can specially make one for you. It takes about a week until they ship. Other than that I hope to have them on the site soon. I can tell you far mine has held up great and feels great.

I have so many hammocks right now with all the different fabrics and colors. it has been hard to keep up with demand and have a readily available inventory. I have 26 different hammocks available when you count all the lengths and colors. And I try to stock 5 of each so i never run out. And with all those I am still running out. Not bragging, I'm stressing.

May I ask why your biggest concern is the stitching? Is it due to the stretch of the fabric?

Also, any estimate on what a 10 footer 58" wide would weigh?

    Regards

On a gathered end with the suspension running through the channel there is a lot of stress on the stitching. I haven't seen any elongation yet.
