My daughter Natalie & I hiked in the Linville Gorge on Valentine's day.
The trip started out sunny with blue skies, then the temps started to drop, skies got gray, and we got a few flurries.
I was thankful it didn't get worse, because I had left both my rain & puffy jacket on the counter at home.
Our hike took us down the Cabin trail, upriver on the LGT, up Bynum Bluff, then a short road walk back to the car.
This route took us by the Linville river a couple times.
Hard to believe but this was our first time hiking down to the river. We've mostly stayed on the rim in the past.
Our legs are still stiff (2 days later) from the downhill on Cabin Trail, which I'm guessing ranks as moderate.
Note to self - need to work on the downhill muscle group more. And probably some more cardo wouldn't hurt.
Anyway, enjoy the video. Maybe it will help you think of something besides how cold out it is this week.
Oh.. and props to Natalie on the video.. she did the editing on this. I love that she has learned this skill. I did add a few subtitles but otherwise this is all her.
