HG Standard CF tarp vs CF tarp w/ doors

I'll be pulling the trigger on a cuben fiber tarp from HG soon. I live in Virginia and camp almost solely in this state. Generally, I'm a 3 season hanger, but do occasionally (1 or 2 times) head out during the winter. So my quandary is such. Do I get the standard or the one with doors. I'm not worried about the price. But do I really need the doors?
Always last to the camp site.

I'm a doors man. The disciples of site selection will say that if you properly select your site and utilize the landscape features (shrubs, bushes, hills, etc.) to mitigate the effects of wind and blowing precipitation, you can get away with a tarp with no doors. That dog don't hunt for me.

The doors easily roll up and tie back when not using them... but when you need 'em it's nice to have them. I suggest getting the doors.

That's sort of the way I was leaning.

I opted for doors since with CF there is little weight penalty. This allows varied ways to set up depending on condition.

Get the doors. I got the 12 HG Standard Cuben tarp with doors, weights a whooping 8+ ounces. While I have only tied off the doors one time, I am glad I have them.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

I got the door version and I like to hang that up to have a huge shelter.

If price REALLY isn't an issue, I'd go for the Winter Palace. It's what I wish I'd done. I may still sell my current cuben tarp and get the Winter Palace at some point.
