Post What type of footbox style do you have on your top quilt?

    Hello Forum,

I am curious to hear what type of footbox style you have on your top quilt. Is yours a sewn footbox or does it use snaps/zipper/velcro and a cinch cord to close. Do you have some other style that I am not familiar with? Also, what is your top quilt's temp rating?

I can't wait to hear your answers.

    For reference:

HG Burrow 20º + 2oz overstuff with sewn footbox. I've slept in it at 11º and still been comfy with minimal clothing.

I have sewn, but I think the other major type you didn't list was velcro.

Never saw much point in snaps and cinch closure so all my TQs are sewn footbox.

Ahh, you're right! My mistake. Thanks for pointing that out!

I just made an edit in the post to include Velcro. Unfortunately I am unable to edit the Poll.

    - I'm shocked at these results, so far. I was almost certain that the adjustable type of footbox would outnumber the sewn type. I am anxious to watch the poll grow.

I have a DIY Primaloft TQ. Its with snaps and a cinch cord. The reason i decided to construct it this way is cause i can open it up and hang it as a UQ. when i dont need my larger warmer 1000g. UQ. So i can have it in the spring and early fall. It works great as both TQ and UQ. Even if wanted it can be put up as a pod system. Just snap it up around the hammock.

Same here. Wouldn't have it any other way.

I HAVE my DIY, no idea of the rating 3.5 inch baffles, lots of down. Sewn in foot box, my feet will never get cold in my TQ I love it. I put a rectangle of synthetic insulation under my legs about mid calf, that way I do not have any compressed down. Very warm.
