Mine is black on the inside and Multicam on the outside. Same as my UQ.
I do black on the outside. I usually end up curling top quilt around my neck and face. Thats usually where most skin oils come in contact. Inside quilt I always wear base layers. You could also do black on the outside and charcoal inside. There is still a contrast in color but both are still dark to hide any dirt.
I just like to have two differing colors on each quilt (one light, one dark), and not two quilts alike. It makes them much easier to ID between temperature ratings, TQ vs. UQ, and between inside vs. outside, especially at night. Generally, I prefer natural colors on my UQs and a bold splash of color on my TQs.
Great choice IMHO, I like dark on the outside, sedate, dark. Bright happy on the inside. I think cobalt blue is a great choice. I made mine out of Argon Brown outer Argon Orange on the inside.
One of our member's, can not remember who, pointed out his wife almost took a fall when she thought she was getting in the hammock with the TQ over her. She had a hold of the UQ ready to climb in instead of climbing into the hammock. After reading that story, I decided I would not have everything match. My UQ, TQ and UQP are all the same fabric and harmonize, however it is very clear to me which is the TQ and UQ.
So many colors, so many combinations, so many new fabrics and colors, I just can not justify making more quilts, really frustrating.
Great color choice soul embrace, you will love it every time you climb in.
I prefer a light inner / dark outer color on my top quilt, It's easier to find the inside of the TQ when it's near dark outside. Just throwing my .02 in the pot.
