    A cyclone is brewing...

Well, my latest hiking trip has come to an abrupt end (before it could even begin). I've been living in the Europe Alps for a few months and finally landed back in Australia this morning – only 40 hours of transit later. I've been looking forward to getting out into warmer temperatures for months! I suppose luck isn't on my side...

A cyclone (category 5) is headed for the Australia's eastern coast with high winds and severe flooding in the forecast. While it's a shame to cancel the trip, I can't help but feel bad for those caught in the eye of the storm. I know a few hangers on this forum whose homes lie in the cyclone's path. I hope you all stay safe and get through it alright.

Let's hope nature is a little more friendly next week

Godspeed to all in it's path.

It's not too often that you actually hope that "A cyclone is brewing..." refers to a visit to Taco Bell, however this is one such case.
Happy Trails to one and all.
Enjoy the outdoors wisely and elevate your perspective.

    Prayers for all.
Maybe it'll blow over soon enough.
    Enjoy the warmth!

Wishing you and everyone there that it turns out to be far less severe than forecasted. Will be watching from afar and hoping for the best.

Well, the storm has passed and it seems we were lucky this time. Yesterday was our first day back on the trail and we're planning on staying out at least one more night. It feels good to be hanging in the southern hemisphere again!
