    Whoopie hooks for bridge?

About to finish up my first attempt at a bridge hammock. Only issue I'm running into is the strap connection point. I was thinking of using one dog bone to attach to the hammock ends and just use my whoopie hooks along the length of the amsteel. Seems like other set ups have used hardware as a three way connection point. Am I going to be putting too much on the tiny area where the hook meets the amsteel? Can't find any of the triangle hardware. Would an aluminum ring and two dog bones work better?

Good question! Was just wondering this myself for my Dutch entry. Will watch for answers.

EDIT: Oops, just missed Dutch's response. The intrigue continues...

FWIW I have used regular whoopie hook's as the apex connection for my bridge hammock's.

Using 2mm diameter line for the suspension triangle dogbones (like dynaglide) I can larkshead to the whoopie hook.

Using 7/64 amsteel I had to splice the hook onto each dogbone end (normal splice, not a brummel. I "lock" it with a tight whipping over the bury).
