FL > Central (Richloam) Hike-N-Hang > Mid-March 2015

Since I know quite a few will be checking the Sherpa Hang Trip Report over the next couple days I wanted to start a thread for a March Hiking Trip.

My plan is doing the North loop in Richloam like we did last March. Camp about 1/4 mile from the firetower Friday night and at the Campsite near Blue Sink on Saturday night. It's about a 14 mile loop with a slightly longer day on Saturday.

*I'm planning to start my hike on Thursday morning at the McNeil (471) trailhead, spend Thursday night at Fosters Bridge and make it to the Firetower site by Friday afternoon. It's about 20 miles, maybe a little more. There is a little shorter option to that if you start from the Dade City entrance to Green Swamp West.

Dates are set, March 20-22.

Definitely March 20-22. If you do it 13-15, I can't come, as I have my annual fly fishing tournament and it would suck for me to miss a hang.

20-22 would be better for us as we are heading to hidden pond the 14th- 15th for a scout overnighter.

41st wedding anniversary is the 23rd. Just discussed the Richloam H&H with Sandra and she just said " Put it on the calendar". See y'all there!

Just called about reserving the site near blue sink and was told that they really only do reservations for large groups and everything is fist come first serve.

No real reason to wait until Friday since there has already been some input. March 20-22 it is. I'll edit the first post to reflect the chosen dates later tonight.

It is nice to have a list of who's expected so I'll go ahead and start that. Also since we're camping Friday very near the Firetower anyone that wants to join Saturday morning is welcome.
