Can anyone share their experiences with Enlightened Equipment's synthetic Prodigy top quilt and hammock use? http://www.enlightenedequipment.com/prodigy/
I searched and saw quite a few posts about Enlightened Equipment's items and that they are high-quality, but not much about this synthetic offering; most seemed to be about the company's down quilts.
The Prodigy I'm looking at is the regular length, wide width. Stats: 7x12 packed size; 40F rating; 20.88 ounces, $160
I'm a warm sleeper, and plan to do some summer/fall hiking with my hammock set-up. I have a Jack's R Better Greylock 3 down underquilt for bottom insulation (rated 20-25 degrees F). For packability, I'd prefer down for a top quilt, but budget is a big priority, and the packed size doesn't seem horrible, especially if I can squeeze it down a couple more inches.
Anyway, I'd love to hear pros/cons from anyone who has this top quilt.
